The Secret Unleashed!

Good Morning!

Today is the day....the BIG day that I have been alluding to for a few weeks!
Today is the day that I get to announce to you "Restored~Home."

will be opening August 15th at the Alvin Antique Center and Marketplace
at 2500 S. Loop 35 in Alvin, TX.

"Restored~Home" is my little spot to share with you my dreams, my treasures and my passion.  It is my goal to carry  items that I love........ and will have a hard time parting with.  We will carry "restored" furniture and accessories with an updated twist.  My style, you ask?  Hmmmmmm....well let's just go with "Vintage Inspired French, Cottage, Farmhouse with a little hint of the Beach......."  Gosh, I hope that makes sense!  (I'm guessing that if you are still "following" me that you totally get what I mean!)
In a smaller nutshell, I aim to have comfortable, unique, usable pieces that you will love to look at and use on a daily basis.
"Restored~Home" will carry all kinds of furniture and accessories for your home and will offer several items that can be "Special Ordered" to your specifications. Of course, my cheesecakes will be available for order there too!.

Mr. YBR and I have put alot of time and effort into finding the right location and working out all the details. Last Saturday we signed the "official" paperwork and now the clock ticks.........

I am very excited but mostly nervous.  I mean, it is one thing to create and decorate your own home but it is quite another to create (paint, sweat and tears) and then put it out there for someone else to critique, love, hate, etc.  I realize that "my style" may not be for everyone but I am hopeful that their are a few people that will want to place an item or two of mine in their own home. Guess that remains to be seen, huh?

Up until now this has only been a hobby and will probably remain that, just on a larger scale.  We have been working diligently (Sidenote: there is just something so cool about "work" that includes SHOPPING!) to get several furniture pieces ready....not to mention oodles of accessories!

I'll throw out a few "Before" pics for you so that you can get an idea of what is to come.

Lots of work to be done!  I hear my paint brush and sewing machine calling my name!  I must run.....
I'll keep you updated as the "Grand Opening" approaches.....

Blessings Abundant, indeed.....

The navigation bar will take you to the "Restored~Home" website but it is still under construction.....check back frequently, please.

Nice to meet you too. That's exciting news. I know exactly how you feel. I did my first show this past Spring and I was a nervous wreck. It's scary putting yourself out there...watching people take in your hard work and then walk by. Good for you though for being brave. You won't regret going for it

Oh, lucky you to have an outlet for your work. We just can't risk opening in this down economy. I would love to paint and sell furniture, but must find another way. Good luck on this venture.
